From the International Olympic Committee to FIFA, almost all sporting organisations in the world have banned Russia and also athletes from Belarus to compete under their national flag.

However, individual athletes have been allowed to compete under neutral flag. Russian Formula 1 driver Nikita Mazepin is one such case. FIA confirmed that the Haas driver alongside Belarusian drivers can race under a neutral flag.

FIA's decision came a day after it held a meeting following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
