Each player to get ₹1 crore if India win Hockey World Cup: Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik

Ahead of the upcoming FIH Hockey Men's World Cup in Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced big prize money for all the players if India win the tournament. 

During an interaction with the National Men’s Hockey Team, Patnaik announced that each player of the Indian team would be given a cash prize of ₹1 crore if we win the World Cup.

Patnaik made the announcement while he was in Rourkela to inaugurate the World Cup Village at the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium Complex.

The FIH World Cup will begin on January 13.
