Lucknow Super Giants have moved to the third spot on IPL 2022 points table after crushing Punjab Kings by 20 runs on Friday (April 29). Lucknow now have six wins in 9 games and they are only behind Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals. Meanwhile, Punjab Kings saw a big blow their playoffs qualification hopes after losing the match against Lucknow. Punjab remained at the seventh position after losing their fifth game and now need to come good in the remaining matches five matches given their net run rate is negative.

Gujarat Titans are continuing to top the IPL 2022 leaderboard with maximum 14 points in 8 matches. Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore are at the 4th and 5th spot respectively. IPL 2022 points table could see a major churn after the double headers on weekends.

Moreover, Rajasthan's Jos Buttler continues to hold the orange cap with the most 499 runs in 8 matches, including three centuries. Yuzvendra Chahal continues to hold the purple cap with 18 wickets in eight matches. However, his best buddy Kuldeep Yadav is not behind the leggie. Kuldeep has 17 wickets in 8 matches and is just one wicket less than Chahal.
