A few days after the Lucknow IPL franchise officially named themselves as Lucknow Super Giants, the Ahmedabad franchise has officially named itself 'Gujarat Titans'.

The franchise is one of the 2 new teams to join the cash-rich league and was purchased by the CVC group for an amount of ₹5625 Crore. The Gujarat Lions had picked Hardik Pandya as its skipper ahead of the IPL mega auction and had also roped in Shubman Gill and Rashid Khan.

Former Indian pacer Ashish Nehra is set to be their head coach while the 2011 World Cup-winning coach Gary Kirsten will be the mentor and batting coach.
