Former England player Kevin Pietersen said that Sunrisers Hyderabad's Umran Malik should be included in Indian Cricket team for the rescheduled Test match against England in July at Edgbaston as he feels that Malik can pose a big threat to English batters.

In his blog, Pietersen wrote that if he was an India selector, he would have included Malik in India Test squad for their rescheduled match against England because English players are facing 70mph (112kmph) seamers in county cricket and they will find it difficult to face 90-95mph(144-152kmph) bowling all of a sudden.
Cricketer-turned-commentator Pietersen further wrote that Malik is a breakout star and he should be in the reckoning for India’s Test team, as well as white-ball sides.
The Srinagar born pacer has taken 15 wickets in 10 matches and has been breaking records with his pace. He delivered 157 kmph bowl against Delhi Capitals, which is the fastest delivery of IPL 2022.
