KL Rahul's performance as a captain of Team India has invited a lot of criticism, this time a pretty scathing remark has come from former India Captain Sunil Gavaskar. Gavaskar while speaking to India Today said that KL Rahul has practically no experience of leadership roles. After losing the 2nd Test which Team India lost under the leadership of KL Rahul, the team also lost the 1st ODI vs South Africa.

Gavaskar questioned Rahul's captaincy and said that the Karnataka batter has no prior experience of leading a team. In 2 IPL seasons where Rahul led Punjab Kings, the team finished 6th in both editions. Apart from that, SMG pointed out that Rahul has no experience of leading any team in Ranji Trophy or List A cricket.

The former India captain while talking about the 1st ODI in Paarl vs South Africa said that KL Rahul had run out of ideas while the partnership between Temba Bavuma and Rassie van der Dussen flourished and that is not a good sign for the team.
