With Morocco becoming the first African nation to play a World Cup semifinal, the fans went gaga after their hard-fought win in the quarterfinals of the Qatar World Cup 2022.
Morocco delivered a seminal moment in the nearly 100-year history of football’s biggest tournament, beating Cristiano Ronaldo and his Portugal team 1-0 in yet another shocking result in the first World Cup staged in the Middle East.

In Qatar, hundreds of elated fans clad in green and red outside Al Thumama Stadium celebrated Morocco’s win, chanting, ululating, banging on drums and waving the national flag.
Fans chanting were seen chanting: "Belgium, this way. Canada, this way. Spain, this way. Portugal, this way. Morocco.," and drum roll.
Meanwhile, hundreds of Moroccan fans rejoiced their team's victory on the streets of Paris as well.
But the Paris Police had to use tear gas as some fans threw projectiles at the Champs Elysees.
Earlier, three African nations managed to reach the quarterfinals and now Morocco have surpassed the three other African sides – Cameroon, Senegal and Ghana.
