Despite their World Cup win, Argentina failed to take the top spot in the latest FIFA rankings. Lionel Messi's men though have moved up a spot and are now second.

Brazil, who lost out to Croatia on penalties in the quarter-finals, still have the top spot. Finalists France, meanwhile, have also jumped a place to become 3rd on the list.

Belgium, despite bowing out in the group stage, are still No. 4. England & the Netherlands occupy the fifth and sixth spot respectively.

Semi-finalists Croatia have jumped 5 places to go 7th, while Morocco have gone up 11 places to become the highest-ranked African nation at 11.
