Cristiano Ronaldo's statue installed in Goa to inspire the youth

To inspire the youth and take the game of football to the next ball, Cristiano Ronaldo's statue has been installed in Goa's Calangute.

The statue weighs around 410 kg and Rs 12 lakh was spent for its construction. While speaking to news agency ANI, Goa minister Michael Lobo said that for the first time the statue of Cristiano Ronaldo has come up in India.

The minister further added that if one wants to take football to another level, then this is what young boys and girls will look forward to, taking selfies and getting inspired to play.

The minister also said Football is a game where everyone is equal, irrespective of caste, colour and religion.

The making of the statue was in process for the last three years but got delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
