India's Nitu Ganghas has done the improbable!

The 21-year-old boxer from Haryana has won Gold in the Minimumweight category at the Commonwealth Games.

The 2-time World Youth Champion never looked out of place in Birmingham and her gold medal finish validates how she can compete with the best of the best at the senior level.

Nitu was simply unstoppable in the final. She dominated right from the word go and England's Demie-Jade Resztan was just no match for the Indian.

The judges unanimously awarded her first place with a 5-0 scoreline, giving India their first Boxing Gold in this edition.
