Former India captain Kapil Dev feels that Virat Kohli will have to give up his ego and play under a young cricketer. This will help him and Indian cricket.

'Even Sunil Gavaskar played under me. I played under K Srikkanth and Azharuddin. I had no ego', told the 1983 World Cup-winning skipper to Mid Day that. Kapil Dev added that Virat should guide the new captain and new players as we cannot lose Virat, the batter.

Ever since Virat Kohli stepped down as India's Test skipper, different names have cropped up for the vacant position. While some feel it may be a toss-up between Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul, Sunil Gavaskar said that it may be Rishabh Pant.
