The new selection committee will have to make a tough call when they sit down for the first time ahead of India-Sri Lanka limited overs side.
With Ishan Kishan slamming a double century in the final ODI against Bangladesh, the out-of-form Shikhar Dhawan may get axed from India's ODI squad.
A tough call will not be a surprise after Ishan Kishan emerged as a strong opening option for the Men in Blue.

Dhawan has struggled badly in eight out of his last nine ODIs and his sedate run-scoring in powerplays has proved detrimental to the team during the first few overs.
And the emergence of Kishan and Shubman Gill at the top of the batting order will put the new selectors, who are yet to be appointed, under immense pressure.
However, there is a school of thought that Dhawan should get at least six ODIs in January against Sri Lanka and New Zealand before taking a final call on his future. So, whether the southpaw gets an extended run or not, remains to be seen.
