Ever since MS Dhoni retired from international cricket, Rishabh Pant had to constantly prove his worth in the Indian team. And the wicketkeeper-batter continues to do so as Dinesh Karthik emerged as a perfect candidate for the finisher's job.
When asked about the potential threat he faced from DK over his spot in the India line-up for the Asia Cup, Pant was quoted as saying by Zee Hindustan that he and DK don't think on those lines. 'We as individuals always want to give our 100 per cent to the team. The rest depends on the coach and the captain and how the team could get an advantage from that,' added the southpaw.
Though Pant and Karthik have been part of India's T20 team since June, both have different roles. While Pant dons the wicketkeeping gloves, Karthik plays as a finisher.
