Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant is set to miss a major chunk of cricketing action in 2023 as the 25-year-old is recovering from a horrific car accident in December last year.

According to an ESPNCricinfo report, the player has torn all three key ligaments in his knee, two of which were reconstructed recently while surgery on the third is expected after six weeks. The surgeries will eventually keep him out for at least a period of 6 months and might ruin his chances of selection in the ODI World Cup as well.
