Days after hospitalisation, Pakistani pacer Naseem Shah tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said in the statement that Shah was discharged from hospital on Thursday but subsequently tested positive for Covid-19 upon his arrival at the team hotel.

The statement stated that the Pakistani pacer will miss the remaining two T20 Internationals against England.

The Men In Green are due to leave for New Zealand on October 3 to participate in a Tri-series involving Kiwis and Bangladesh.

However, with no update over Shaheen Afridi's injury and now Shah testing positive for Covid, Pakistani camp would be worried over the availability of their two premier pacers ahead of T20 World Cup 2022 Down Under.

Pakistan will lock horns with India in their tournament opener on October 23 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
