Mohammed Siraj lands in Australia to join Team India ahead of T20 World Cup 2022

Mohammed Siraj touched down in Brisbane on Sunday to join Team India ahead of T20 World Cup 2022 as part of the reserve players. 

The fast bowler was originally not a part of the travelling squad but was added to the standby players' list after Jasprit Bumrah was ruled out of the tournament due to a back stress fracture.

Siraj had earlier replaced Bumrah in India's T20 squad for the T20Is vs South Africa and was considered as the front-runner to be his replacement for the T20 World Cup as well. However, Mohammed Shami was promoted to the main squad as Bumrah's replacement.
