With the captaincy debate in Indian cricket getting intense, Shoaib Akhtar has put his belief in Jasprit Bumrah to fill in those boots.

The former Pakistan pacer asked on Sports Today why don't managements look at fast bowlers as captains? 'Kapil Dev was a fast bowler, wasn't he a great captain? For Pakistan, Imran Khan, Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis have all been captains,' asked Akhtar.

The 46-year-old said that Bumrah should be made the vice-captain for now and should be groomed as the next long-term captain of India.
