Dropped or rested?

That's what Indian cricket fans are wondering about Rishabh Pant's fate after the wicketkeeper-batter wasn't named in the squads for the Sri Lanka series.

While the BCCI failed to mention whether the southpaw has been rested or dropped, reports suggest Pant has been asked to report to the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, where he'll undergo a knee-strengthening rehab programme for two weeks.

While there's no clarity on Pant's non-selection yet, many fear he has been axed due to his indifferent form in limited-overs cricket.
