IND vs WI: Post Covid outbreak, Team India starts training in Ahmedabad with Mayank Agarwal in quarantine

Team India had a light training session at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday evening as they prepare to host the West Indies in the 3-match ODi series starting Sunday. After the Covid-19 outbreak in Team India which ruled out Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer & Ruturaj Gaikwad out of the series, BCCI added Mayank Agarwal to the squad and is currently completing his mandatory 3-day isolation and will be available only on Sunday.

The series will also be the first for Rohit Sharma as the full-time limited overs captain of Team India. The 1st match in Ahmedabad on Sunday will be the 1000th ODI game for Team India as it will become the 1st ever team to reach this historic milestone. 

All three matches of the ODI series will be played behind closed doors in Ahmedabad before the carnival moves to Kolkata for the 3-match T20 series which will have fans at 75% capacity at the Eden Gardens.
