Ever since Rishabh Pant opened the batting for Team India in the 2nd ODI vs the West Indies, there have been questions about whether the management is looking at that going forward.

Since KL Rahul is not available for the T20I series vs the Windies starting February 16, Team India batting coach Vikram Rathour was asked if Pant will face the new ball in the T20s as well.

He didn't rule out the possibility of that happening but said that they haven't really decided that yet and a call will be taken once they get to look at the kind of surface that is on offer. 'We also have options in Ishan Kishan and Ruturaj Gaikwad available, so we will see, added the batting coach.
