Team India is turning out to be a force under Rohit Sharma as the Men in Blue pulled off a thrilling 7-wicket win in the 2nd T20 vs Sri Lanka. India has now taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 3-match series.
Put into bat, Sri Lanka was 103/4 in 15 overs but Pathum Nissanka and skipper Dasun Shanaka put on a show in Dharamsala. 80 runs off the final 5 overs powered the Lankans to 183/5.
Chasing which India was reduced to 44/2. But Shreyas Iyer once again stood tall with his second consecutive half-century. Sanju Samson impressed with a fiery 39 but it was Ravindra Jadeja who ended all hopes of the Lankans. the southpaw smashed an unbeaten 18-ball-45 as India won in just 17.1 overs.
India has now extended its winning run in the shortest format to 11 games.
