KL Rahul was criticised as a captain when India lost the 2nd Test vs South Africa and the criticism only got worse in the ODI series.

India under KL Rahul lost all 3 one day games vs the Proteas and a few even went on to say that this wasn't the same team anymore. However, Rahul Dravid has come out in defence of the stand-in skipper. After the 3rd ODI in Cape Town, the head coach said that Rahul did a good job. It's not easy to end up on the wrong side of the result.

Dravid also said that the reason for Team India looking rusty was because they didn't play many ODIs in the recent past. However, he added that India will play a lot of white-ball cricket before next year's World Cup.
