The International Cricket Council has given a 'poor' rating to the pitch used for the third India-Australia Test after the match finished inside 2 days and a session.

The Holkar Stadium has received three demerit points after ICC Match Referee Chris Broad submitted his report following consultation with both captains, Rohit Sharma & Steve Smith.

According to the ICC rules, a venue is suspended from hosting international cricket for a period of 12 months if it accumulates five or more demerit points over a five-year rolling period.

Earlier, ICC Match Referee Andy Pycroft had given an 'average' rating to the pitches used in the first two Tests even though both games had finished within 3 days as well.
