Shafali Verma regained the No.1 spot in the ICC T20I Batting Rankings for Women on Tuesday. Shafali replaced Australia's Beth Mooney at the top of the list.

Shafali Verma last played T20I cricket in October 2021 and was in decent form in the Women's Big Bash League. Meanwhile, India's Smriti Mandana, who was named ICC women's cricketer of the year for 2021, dropped a spot and slipped to No. 4.

Both Shafali and Smriti are part of India's squad for the New Zealand series in February which will be followed by the ODI World Cup in New Zealand.
