Indian cricketer Sarfaraz Khan has finally broken his silence on his reaction to not being selected for India's first 2 Test matches against Australia next month and said that the 25-year-old was not able to sleep after not seeing his name in the Indian squad which was announced three days earlier.

Sarfaraz has been on an impressive scoring spree in the Ranji Trophy and was hoping to see his name in the Test side after going through a scintillating spell of form.

"When the team was announced and my name wasn't there, I was very sad. Anyone in my place in this world would've been sad, because I had expected to be picked, but wasn't (chosen). Yesterday, I was sad the whole day, when we travelled from Guwahati to Delhi. I was thinking about what and why it happened. I was feeling very lonely. I cried too,” Sarfaraz said in an interview.
