Virat Kohli, a maverick with the bat, but a captain who didn't win a single ICC trophy during his reign.

With Kohli as the skipper, India failed to win the trophy thrice and during the T20 World Cup 2021, the Men in Blue did not even qualify for the knockout stages.

While many see him as a failure as a captain, Virat Kohli is of a different opinion. While speaking on an RCB podcast, the ex-Indian skipper said, 'I was considered a failed captain, but I never judge myself from that point of view, I was never... what we ended up achieving as a team, the cultural change is more important. A tournament happens for a certain period of time, a culture happens over a long period of time and for that you need consistency, you need more character than just winning a tournament'

India lost the 2017 Champion Trophy final, the 2019 ODI World Cup semifinal and the 2021 World Test championship final under Virat Kohli.
