In a major revelation, India's veteran wicketkeeper-batter Wriddhiman Saha said that the team management led by head coach Rahul Dravid told him to think about retirement.

A furious Saha told the media persons that the team management had told him that he would not be considered and henceforth he did not reveal this information so far as he was part of the Team India setup.

37-year-old Saha also hit out at BCCI president, saying Sourav Ganguly assured him that he shouldn't worry about his place in the team as long as he is at the helm of the BCCI.

Earlier, selectors dropped Saha, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane for the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka, starting next month.

While Rohit Sharma was appointed new Test captain after Virat Kohli relinquished the top job in January.
