Confirmed! Steve Smith to captain Australia in 4th Test with Pat Cummins still at home

Steve Smith will once again lead Australia in the fourth and final Test in Ahmedabad after regular skipper Pat Cummins decided to stay back home with his ailing mother

Cummins, who flew back home after the early completion of the 2nd Test in Delhi, has decided to stay put Down Under with his mother currently under palliative care.

In Cummins' absence, Smith, who led Australia to a resounding victory in the 3rd Test in Indore, will take on the captain's duties once again.

Meanwhile, a decision on Cummins' participation in the 3-match ODI series against India will be taken later.
