With experts having contrasting opinions on who should be India's next Test skipper, BCCI is likely to hand over the captaincy reigns in white to Rohit Sharma.

According to reports, the announcement may be made after the selection committee meeting. Rohit's is expected to lead India in Tests from the home series vs Sri Lanka. A BCCI official told InsideSport that the workload will be immense and Rohit needs to keep himself very agile and fit. He will have to work extra-bit on his fitness.

Rohit Sharma was recently made the white-ball captain but was ruled out of the South Africa tour due to a hamstring injury. He is training hard at the NCA in Bengaluru and is expected to regain fitness ahead of the limited-overs home series vs the West Indies in February.
