In a big setback to e-commerce giants Flipkart and Amazon, a Karnataka High Court division bench on Friday rejected their plea challenging a June 11 order that allowed CCI probe into the companies.

A single-judge bench had allowed the Competition Commission of India (CCI) to probe the companies over alleged anti-competitive practices.
The bench said that the applicants should not feel shy in facing an inquiry by CCI if they are not in violation of the Competition Act.
The CCI order came on a complaint filed by Delhi Vyapar Mahasangh (an organization of retailers) who alleged that Amazon and Flipkart were giving biased treatment to select vendors where the e-commerce firms had a stake.
