Serum Institute boss meets Amit Shah, says Covovax may launch by October

Serum Institute of India CEO Adar Poonawalla met Home Minister Amit Shah and Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Friday and said he is hopeful that Covovax, another Covid-19 vaccine being manufactured by his company, will be launched in October for adults. 

He also added that the Covovax vaccine for kids will be launched in the 'first quarter of the next year most likely in January-February.'

Poonwalla expressed satisfaction with the help being provided by the govt and said that Serum Institute is not facing any financial crunch.
