The Supreme Court on Wednesday rejected a plea seeking action against former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah for his comments on scrapping of Article 370.
The court said that it was not seditious to have views different from the government.
The petition had demanded that Abdullah's membership of Parliament be declared null and void and sedition charges be slapped on him under Section 124-A of IPC.
The court also directed the petitioners to deposit ₹50,000 for filing the petition.
