SC dismisses plea seeking its intervention to control fuel prices

The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed a plea seeking the court's intervention to control the increased petrol and diesel prices.

From almost ₹70 per litre in May beginning, petrol prices in Delhi have been risen sharply to touch an over ₹82 per litre level in September.

Prices of Diesel also surged from around ₹62 per litre in May to ₹82 in July. However, Diesel prices corrected and now stand at almost ₹73 per litre in Delhi.
