Basking in the sucess of his blockbuster 'Sooryavanshi', Rohit Shetty may be planning to expand his cop universe further, this time with a female cop.

During an interview with The Indian Express, Rohit Shetty was asked why his stories linger around alpha men saving the world? Rohit Shetty said, that without a female lead or cop, the universe won’t ever be complete.

He added that with a woman at the helm, his film will be at the level of 'Singham' or 'Sooryavanshi' and till the time he doesn't get that kind of a story, he can’t proceed just because there is a demand for a female cop in this universe. He says, whenever he makes this film, he would want to make it into a bigger scale film.

Meanwhile, the filmmaker has dismissed reports that he has signed actor Sidharth Malhotra to headline his web-series about cops, saying the project is still under development.

There was speculation that the "Shershaah" star was set to work on the Sushwanth Prakash-directorial, which would have Shetty as the showrunner. Shetty said, not Sidharth Malhotra, no actor has been finalised yet for the web-series.

'Sooryavanshi', the cop-drama headlined by Akshay Kumar, hit the theatres during the Diwali weekend, almost one-and-a-half years after its scheduled March 2020 release.
