According to an AFP report, Russian lawmakers are close to allowing regulators to block platforms like Facebook, YouTube and Twitter, if they're found to have censored content made by Russians. The country's lower house of parliament reportedly said that authorities can target platforms if they are found to limit information based on nationality and language, and could be sanctioned "in the event of discrimination against the content of Russian media."
