Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to travel to Washington DC and New York in the last week of September.
There's no official confirmation on this but ANI has reported that preparations for the visit are underway.
This will be his first visit to the United States since President Joe Biden assumed office early this year. If the schedule works out as per ongoing discussions, the expected dates for PM Modi' visit to the US would be September 23-24.
The two leaders have met virtually on three different occasions- the Quad summit in March, the climate change summit in April, and the G-7 summit in June this year.
PM Modi last visited the United States before the Covid-19 pandemic in September 2019 when then President Donald Trump had addressed the 'Howdy Modi' event.
