PM Modi: Covid an unprecedented disruption, India stands ready to work with the world

PM Narendra Modi on Wednesday addressed the Global Covid-19 summit.

Calling Covid an unprecedented disruption, PM Modi pointed out that much of the world is yet to be vaccinated.

He also welcomed initiative by US Preident who said 'Quad partnership is on track to help produce at least one billion vaccine doses in India to boost the global supply by the end of 2022'

PM Modi assured that India stands ready to work with the world to end the Covid-19 pandemic and insisted that supply chain for raw materials needed to produce vaccines should be kept open.

Further, the PM informed that the cost-effective diagnostic kits, drugs, medical devices, and PPE kits produced in India are providing affordable options to many developing countries.

He also said that international travel should be made easier, through mutual recognition of vaccine certificates
