Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan continues to refrain from criticising China on Uighur situation in Xinjiang province.

In an interview with Axios's Jonathan Swan, the cricketer-turned-politician deftly refrained from criticising of China's treatment of Uighur Muslims.

When questioned about human rights violations in Xinjiang, Khan claimed that as per his conversations with the Chinese, "This is not the case."

In his Axios interview, Imran Khan said, 'Our discussions with the Chinese will always be behind closed doors.'

Khan went on to say that he doesn't comment on what's going on in other countries because he's more concerned with what's going on in his own nation and along his border, before adding that the situation in Kashmir is "far more relevant" than what's going on with the Uighur.
