Delhi deputy CM Manish Sosidia on Wednesday said that over 100 Covid vaccination centre across Delhi have been shut down due to non-availability of Covaxin.

He said that only centres administering Covishield are functioning in the Capital. Sisodia said that the Covaxin maker, Bharat Biotech, has written to the Delhi govt that it can't provide doses sought by the AAP govt.

Sisodia alleged that the company is working on the directions of the Central govt and is denying vaccines to the states.

The Delhi govt has placed orders for 1.34 crore vaccines -- 67 lakh each of Covishield and Covaxin. Sisodia slammed the Centre saying that the Union govt needs to act like the govt of the country. It should stop all exports and ensure vaccine supply to the states, he demanded.
