Amid a steep surge in Covid-19 cases in the country, the top medical body in the country has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging him to open vaccination for all adults in the country. Apart from vaccine for all, the Indian Medical Association has also suggested that walk-in Covid vaccination should be made available to all for free at the nearest possible place. Apart from this, the doctors' body has also suggested that vaccination certificate should be made mandatory for availing benefits under the public distribution system. The body has also called for curbs on non-essential activities in the wake of a sudden spurt of infections.
