Olympics: IOA planning to send first batch of athletes on July 17

The Indian Olympic Association is planning to send the first batch of its Tokyo-bound athletes on July 17. 

IOA President Narinder Batra told ANI that IOA may also try to send the athletes a couple of days before so that quarantine and training issues will be sorted out. IOA are in touch with the concerned authorities in Tokyo to get it sorted.

Batra added that the government is supporting them in every way and IOA is hopeful that everything will be sorted out soon. The Tokyo Olympics will begin from July 23.
