Australia's assistant coach Andrew McDonald is confident that Pat Cummins and Steve Smith will strike a great partnership in the Ashes series.

He said that you've got a former captain underneath the new captain, which is a really good dynamic. Pat Cummins will draw upon that experience and he has got other senior players around him as well, added McDonald.
