Days after Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav termed the anti-coronavirus vaccine to be rolled out in the country a "vaccine of the BJP", he clarified that he did not question the scientists, researchers, or experts. Akhilesh Yadav said on Monday that he had only questioned the preparedness of the governments at the Centre and the state in the Covid vaccination campaign and had not cast doubts on scientists, researchers, experts, or volunteers engaged in vaccine development. The ruling BJP had accused Yadav of "insulting" doctors and scientists of the country. He said he only wanted to ask BJP how long will it take them to give vaccine to the poor and whether it will be free or not.
