Reed Hastings, the co-founder and CEO of Netflix, met the Information & Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur on his visit to India.

According to a sources-based report in The Indian Express, Hastings and Thakur discussed the IT Rules 2021 during their meeting.

The new rules take digital media, including OTT platforms, under their gambit for the first time ever.

Hastings' visit to India comes after a recent announcement by Netflix that its first post production facility in the world will start in Mumbai by June 2022.
