Monsoon Woes: Floods, rains wreak havoc across states, rescue operations on

Floods and rains have created mayhem in several states over the last one week. 

Rescue operations are in force in the flood ravaged northern region of Madhya Pradesh where 8,832 people have been rescued and 29,280 people have been shifted to safer areas. 

Several areas got submerged in Rajasthan’s Baran. Jhalawar are also witnessed heavy showers which caused massive water-logging. 

Bihar has been put on a flood alert with multiple rivers flowing above danger levels. The rising Ganga-Yamuna levels have also submerged the low-lying areas of Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj.
