Minecraft Earth AR game shutting down on June 30, 2021

Microsoft has announced that the Minecraft Earth AR mobile game will be shutting down on June 30, 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The game requires outdoor movement of players, which will no longer be possible due to lockdowns being placed across the globe in order to combat the spread of coronavirus. To recall, Minecraft Earth, a free-to-play game for iOS and Android was launched back in May 2019 and allowed player to bring their creations to life in an Augmented reality format.
