The producers of Mani Ratnam's directorial 'Ponniyin Selvan' have confirmed that the upcoming period drama will release in two parts.
Making an official announcement on social media, the makers posted a poster of the film & revealed that the first part of the epic fantasy drama will hit screens in 2022.
Set in the backdrop of Chola Dynasty, Ponniyin Selvan is based on iconic writer Kalki Krishnamurthy’s historical fiction novel by the same name.
Film stars Aishwarya Rai, Vikram, Trisha, Karthi, and Aishwarya Lekshmi among others.
