India vs England 5th Test : With less than 3 hours to go for the Manchester Test, England and Wales Cricket Board announced that the 5th and final Test between India and England has been cancelled.

As a member of the Indian support staff tested positive for Covid-19 after Ravi Shastri returned positive for the virus, Indian players were uncomfortable stepping out to play with the risks involved. As a result, the touring party was regrettably unable to field a team.

BCCI in a statement later said that they have offered ECB a rescheduling of the cancelled Test and both boards will now work towards finding a window for that. India currently lead the 5-match Test series 2-1.
