After sounding the poll bugle for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections on Shaheed Diwas by calling for opposition unity against the BJP, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee arrived in Delhi and is scheduled to meet important leaders.
This is the TMC supremo’s first visit to Delhi since her election victory in Bengal.

Mamata will meet Congress leader Kamal Nath and Anand Sharma in the afternoon and Abhishek Manu Singhvi later in the evening. Mamata is also expected to meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi for tea during her stay in Delhi
Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal are also expected to call on her.
She will also meet PM Modi around 4 pm on Tuesday and likely ask him to ensure the release of central dues to the state as well as vaccines. This will be her first meeting with the Prime Minister after the hotly contested state polls.
