Malala Yousafzai, the 23-year-old Pakistani activist and world’s youngest Nobel Prize laureate, featured on the cover of British Vogue’s July edition.

In the cover story titled ‘The Extraordinary life of Malala Yousafzai’, she opened up about politics, activism, and her path forward.

Speaking about marriage, Malala said, watching everyone share their relationship stories on social media could get worrisome.

Malala further said, “If you want to have a person in your life, why do you have to sign marriage papers, why can’t it just be a partnership?".

However, she received backlash on social media in Pakistan for her view on whether marriage is necessary for two people in a relationship.
